ArmInfo. Armenia imported 489.1 thousand tons of oil products in 2024, which is 6.4% lower than the same period last year. At the same time, the customs value decreased almost proportionally - by 6.8% to $469.7 million. This is evidenced by the data of the Customs Service of the Republic of Armenia.
Oil products were mainly imported from Russia (61.2%), Iran (6%), Malta (5.9%), Bulgaria (4.9%), Greece (4.6%), Romania (3.2%), Turkey (2.7%), Egypt (2.3%), Lebanon (1.7%), much less from the Republic of Korea (0.3%), Germany (0.2%), as well as from Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Thailand, Indonesia, Spain, Italy, Poland, Lithuania, Canada, Ukraine, Slovakia, Serbia, China, Sweden, Switzerland, India, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Finland, Japan.
During the reporting year, Armenia also reduced its export of oil products - by 87.3% to 122.5 tons, with a decrease in customs value by 72% to $749.9 thousand. The bulk of oil product exports went to the Russian Federation (82.5%) and Belarus (16.9%), and very small supplies went to Georgia and South Africa.
According to the data of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, by the end of 2024, within the framework of the indicative balance, Armenia received 230 thousand tons of motor gasoline and 175 thousand tons of diesel fuel from the Russian Federation.
