ArmInfo. . The Armenian pavilion at the world exhibition Expo 2025 Osaka was visited by about 1 million people. This is stated on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia. It should be noted that the exhibition opened on April 13, 2024 and will last until October 13, 2025.
The Armenian pavilion is divided into several sectors: the first sector introduces visitors to the model of modern education in our country, within the framework of which the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies, Armath engineering laboratories, COAF technologies and a number of other educational programs of interest to the Japanese public are presented.
The next sector is high technology, including the IT sector and high-tech industry. The third direction is tourism and the last sector is food and wine.
As noted by the department, on September 5, a large event will be held within the framework of the exhibition, which will be dedicated to the National Day of Armenia. A rather rich and interesting program is expected.
Let us recall that years earlier, the former Minister of Economy of Armenia Vahan Kerobyan announced at a press conference that the Armenian pavilion was designed by the leading Japanese company MASH CORPORATION in collaboration with the Armenian architectural studio "Storaket" and is equipped with innovative, digital technologies, artificial intelligence solutions, robotics, blockchain technologies, crypto, NFT, etc. Japan's registration dossier for Expo 2025 Osaka was approved by the General Assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) in 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic was raging around the world, forcing humanity to face an unprecedented crisis.
Reflecting on the theme of Expo 2025 Osaka "Creating a Future Society for Our Lives" and taking the necessary measures has become the mission of this century. The international community has made serious efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, and these efforts are in line with the significance of holding the EXPO.
The venue of the exhibition is the artificial island of Yumeshima, located off the Osaka embankment, overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. A total of 28 million people are expected to attend the event.
According to the RA Statistical Committee, the foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Japan in January-June 2025 amounted to $64.3 million, with an annual growth of 18.2%. At the same time, exports increased by 2.7 times to $10.3 million, against the backdrop of a 6.7% increase in imports to $54 million.
In the first half of the year, 1,081 tourists from Japan visited Armenia, which is 37.7% higher than the figure for the previous year.
