ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Masato Kanda, President of the Asian Development Bank.
The Prime Minister welcomed Mr. Kanda's visit to Armenia and congratulated him on his appointment as ADB President. Nikol Pashinyan noted that this visit is of particular importance, as it coincides with the 20th anniversary of the partnership between Armenia and the ADB. The Prime Minister emphasized the fact of the consistent development of cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the ADB and noted that the ADB has played an important role in supporting Armenia's development goals, starting from infrastructure modernization, reforms in the public administration system to the promotion of inclusive and sustainable growth.
Masato Kanda expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and congratulations, noting that ADB highly appreciates the close cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Armenia and is ready to continue to actively contribute to the effective implementation of various programs in our country.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to the progress of jointly implemented programs. The sides exchanged views on cooperation in housing provision, improving seismic safety, school construction, infrastructure, and other areas.
