ArmInfo. Iran is persuading us to more actively use the logistics direction: Russia, Armenia, Iran and the Persian Gulf, although Minsk needs this first of all. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, in a conversation with journalists following negotiations with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian.
The Belarusian leader emphasized that Belarus welcomes Iran's involvement in trade and economic processes in the Eurasian Economic Union. According to him, the launch of a full-fledged free trade agreement between the EAEU and Iran expands the geography of trade relations, opens up new markets for the countries. The President is confident that this is a significant contribution to the formation of the foundation of a long-term strategic partnership between Iran and the EAEU, which will strengthen the economic security of all its participants.
"Iran is trying to persuade us to more actively use the logistics route through Russia and Iran. Russia, Armenia, Iran and the Persian Gulf. They are trying to persuade us! This is what we need first and foremost," the head of state stated, as reported by his press service.
