The construction of a new Iran-Armenia power transmission line is in its final stage, it will allow Armenia to double the volume of electricity exports to Iran, and potentially increase these volumes even further in the future, as stated by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, David Khudatyan, to reporters on August 19.
According to him, the departments of both countries are currently actively working towards this goal. The Minister expressed hope the project will be completed soon, enabling an increase in supplies in the shortest possible time. Khudatyan recalled that electricity exports from Armenia to Iran currently occur throughout the year, and the new transmission line will allow the parties to double the volume of supplies.
Khudatyan also pointed out the importance of cooperation with Tehran in various areas, especially in infrastructure and road construction.
