Armenia, Uruguay discuss opportunities for expanding economic cooperation

ArmInfo. Armenian Minister of  Economy Gevorg Papoyan received Uruguayan Ambassador to Armenia  Silvana Lesca Barolin, as reported by the press service of the  Ministry of Economy. The parties discussed opportunities to enhance  cooperation between the countries in the economic sphere and possible  new areas of collaboration.

They also talked about boosting the export of agricultural products,  implementing joint investment projects, and the potential for  organizing B2B meetings to increase the presence of Armenian products  in the Uruguayan market. Gevorg Papoyan emphasized that the Ministry  of Economy of the Republic of Armenia is ready to assist in  identifying priority sectors and potential investment partners.

, the Minister noted.  Additionally, Papoyan presented the  guest with the Crossroads of Peace project, which could serve as a  regional and significant component for expanding economic  cooperation. 

Note that the Statistical Committee's data does not include  information on the trade turnover between Armenia and Uruguay.
