ArmInfo. The Asian Development Bank will provide Armenia with a grant of $3 million for the reconstruction of a secondary school in the village of Voskehat in the Armavir region of the republic. At a meeting on July 10, the RA Government approved the draft decree of the RA President on ratification of the relevant agreement with the ADB.
As noted in the justification for the draft decision, the total amount of the program is $6 million, $3 million will be the state's participation in the implementation of the project. The RA Government's action program until 2030 provides for the repair and construction of 300 schools by 2026, including seismic safety, the construction of modular school buildings in settlements with a small number of students, as well as other capital repairs, reconstruction and improvement works.
As a result of the implementation of the grant agreement, the reconstruction of the Voskehat secondary school in the Armavir region will be ensured. Within the framework of the program, 56 school employees will make a study tour to Japan to gain knowledge on seismic disaster management, engineering and sustainable urban development. Within the framework of the project, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia was allocated 19.8 million drams to finance design and estimate works.
