Armenia`s Cabinet declines Capital Markets International Data`s application for Ecos fee operators list 

ArmInfo.  On May 15, the Government of Armenia rejected the application submitted by Capital Markets International Data LLC for inclusion in the register of operators of the Ecos free economic zone for carrying out activities in the field  of high and information technologies, in particular, the  comprehensive collection, analysis and coordination of data on  financial market instruments.

As stated in the explanatory note to the document, taking into  account that the submitted application did not pass the passing  threshold based on the assessment results, it was considered  appropriate to reject the application submitted by Capital Markets International Data LLC for inclusion in the register of operators of the Ecos free economic zone.

According to the state register of legal entities of Armenia, Capital Markets International Data LLC was established on November 22, 2024. There is no other information in the public domain.

As of today, 4 FEZs have been created in Armenia - "Alliance",  "Meridian", "Meghri", and "Ekos".  "EKOS" was created by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia No. 974-A dated August 30, 2018 in the city of Hrazdan, Kotayk region of the Republic of Armenia, and began its activities in January 2019. In general, residents of Armenian FEZs enjoy the following benefits: preferential taxation, which differs from the standard tax system within the country; customs preferences for the export of goods, import of raw materials for the production of products; no tax on the profit of legal entities; no income taxes for entrepreneurs who are the organizers or managers of the free economic zone of Armenia; no restrictions on currency conversion - if in the rest of the country mutual settlements must be made exclusively in drams, in the FEZ trade provides for the freedom of any currency.
