Upper Lars checkpoint closed for transport 

ArmInfo.  The Upper Lars checkpoint on the Russian-Georgian border remains closed to all types of vehicles. This was reported in a statement by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.

The source notes that as of 9:00 am on April 17, there is light snow  in the Sisian region. There is ice in places on the Vardenyats Pass.

However, all interstate and republican highways in the Republic of  Armenia are open to traffic. Road builders are cleaning and  sprinkling the highways with sand.
