ArmInfo. Armenia's trade sector generated 6.4 trillion drams ($16.2 billion) in revenue in 2024, showing a decrease in annual growth from 25.7% to 17%. According to the RA Statistical Committee, trade turnover increased by 24.3% in December alone, reaching 774.3 billion drams ($1.9 billion).
The slowdown in annual growth in trade turnover was mainly caused by a decrease in automobile sales and a slowdown in retail and wholesale trade. Retail trade turnover amounted to 1.9 trillion drams ($4.9 billion), decreasing in annual growth from 11.1% to 7.9%.
Wholesale trade dominates Armenia's total trade turnover structure at 65.7%, followed by retail - 30.4%, with the remaining 3.9% coming from the purchase/sale of cars.
