ArmInfo. On the second day of his working trip to the Syunik region, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan continued to get acquainted with the work being carried out in various settlements within the framework of subvention and capital programs.
According to the press service of the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers, Pashinyan was first presented with work on the overhaul of a 19.5-kilometer section of the Tatev-Agvani interstate highway. The cost of the project is 3.375 billion drams. The funds were allocated from the state budget. The Prime Minister noted that the large-scale road construction work carried out in Syunik allows us to talk today about the creation of a new road network and the expected result.
In Goris, the head of government visited the House-Museum of the famous writer and literary critic Aksel Bakunts, got acquainted with the exhibits located there and the activities of the House-Museum. As part of the road construction projects, the Prime Minister was also presented with work on the overhaul of a 4- kilometer section of the Goris-Armenian border interstate road. The cost of the project is 778 million drams. The funds were provided by the government.
Pashinyan's next stop was in Khndzoresk, where the Prime Minister, at a meeting with residents, touched upon the border delimitation process and answered various questions related to this process, as well as education and agriculture.
Nikol Pashinyan also visited the border outpost of the National Security Service located in Khndzoresk and got acquainted with the living conditions created for the families of officers.
The Prime Minister attended the opening ceremony of a park and children's playground in the village of Kornidzor in the Tekh community. The government allocated 39.9 million drams for the implementation of the project. Here, Prime Minister Pashinyan also paid tribute to the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the sake of the Motherland.
The Prime Minister visited an intensive garden and a plant for the production of vodka and vinegar of the AND company in the village of Ishkhanasar. As part of the programs implemented by the Government of Armenia to subsidize loans and support leasing, the company purchased agricultural machinery and equipment for the agri-food sector in the amount of 204 million drams. As a result, an intensive apple orchard with a total area of 7 hectares was created, and the equipment contributes to high-quality production.
In Sisian, Nikol Pashinyan visited the nursery of the Forestry Committee, where existing seedlings and forest restoration work were presented.
Then, in the area adjacent to Shaki Falls, the Prime Minister met with students from Sisian High School who had won prizes in the Havk competition over the past two years, held as part of the Armath Airborne educational laboratory program on unmanned aerial vehicles. The Prime Minister got acquainted with the students' achievements in creating UAVs, talked with them on various topics and answered questions related to education and youth problems. The "Armath Airborne" program is a direction of development of the "Armath" engineering laboratories project, which is being implemented by the Union of Advanced Technology Companies. In the laboratories, students receive theoretical knowledge on the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles, study the features of their design and manufacture, software, maintenance and management.
