ArmInfo. The RA Ministry of Economy has developed a draft export development strategy. This was stated by RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan on June 4 during the discussions on the report on the execution of the 2023 state budget of Armenia.
According to him, the strategy is almost ready, a number of minor additions remain to be made to it, after which the document will be submitted to the RA National Assembly. "According to our estimates, the document should be discussed in at least four NA committees," the minister said, adding that the strategy presents the entire list of goods that have potential for development. Experts from USAID and the European Union took part in the development of the document, and their efforts not only identified potential opportunities for Armenian exports, but also expanded the geography of supplies of domestic products. For example, a certain portion of goods can be exported to the Middle East markets, another group - to China and the EU countries, a third group - to Russia and the USA, etc. At the same time, all goods are divided into four categories: existing markets - specific goods, specific goods - new markets, new goods - existing markets, and new goods - new markets.
