ArmInfo.Armenia has addressed the European Peace Foundation with a request for assistance and is awaiting a response. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan stated this on June 4 in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia during discussions of the report on the implementation of the country's budget for 2023.
According to him, Yerevan expects to receive military assistance from the fund. However, as the head of the RA Foreign Ministry noted, we are not talking about the supply of ammunition; the issue of supplying non-lethal weapons, especially military medical equipment, is being discussed.
Mirzoyan emphasized that Yerevan is working with Brussels in many areas, pointing to two of them. The first of them concerns cooperation on new priorities, and the second concerns activities that stem from the results of the Armenia-EU-US trilateral meeting held on April 5 in Brussels, aimed at increasing the country's resilience. Also on the agenda is the issue of starting negotiations on visa liberalization. "What will all this lead to? Let's wait until the end of the year," Ararat Mirzoyan noted.
