ArmInfo.Armenia is among the countries that have significantly increased the volume of footwear supplies to the Russian market since 2021, RIA Novosti reports referring to data provided by the UN platform Comtrade and open statistics.
"Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Serbia and the United States are among the countries that have significantly increased shoe exports to Russia since 2021," the report says. It emphasizes that in total Armenia exported $11 million worth of footwear to Russia. The Republic increased the volume of supplies of footwear industry products to the Russian Federation almost 11 times.
According to available data, last year the leader in footwear exports to Russia was China with shipments worth $3.4 billion. In addition, the top three included Italy with a supply volume of almost $306 million and Turkey with an export volume of $154 million.
