A delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) led by Mr Jihad Azour, Director of the IMF Middle  East and Central Asia Department, and Ms Iva Petrova, IMF Mission Chief for Armenia, was on a visit to Armenia recently. In an interview with Mr Emmanuil Mkrtchyan, CEO, ArmInfo News Agency, Mr Jihad Azour said that the IMF delegation visited Armenia on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Armenian national currency  and foundation of the Central Bank of Armenia, landmarks in Armenia's history.

ArmInfo.Within the framework of "The Power of one dram" initiative, AMD 3,500,572 were donated to the "SOS-Children's Villages" Armenian charity foundation in August. This means that during the month of August, 3,500,572 payments were made with the Idram&IDBank application, the IDBanking.am and Idram.am websites, and the terminals of the two companies.

ArmInfo. Next year, the Annual Meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and  Development (EBRD) will be held in Yerevan. This was announced during the meeting of Armenian Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan with the EBRD delegation headed by Bank's First Vice President Jurgen  Rigterink. 

ArmInfo. The growth of economic activity in Armenia in Jan-July 2023 slowed down to 10.4%  per annum (from 13.1% a year earlier), affecting the pace of exports  and imports. In July of this year by July 2022, the growth of  economic activity slowed down more noticeably - to 6% (from 19.4% a  year earlier), while  in July 2023 alone slowing growth to 7.6% from  June 9.9%, which was more pronounced in July 2022 - up to 8.5% from  June 17%, according to  the final data of the RA Statistical  Committee.

ArmInfo.There are serious prerequisites for expanding cooperation between Armenia and the  Netherlands in the field of high technologies. Ambassador of the Netherlands to Armenia Nicholas Schermers stated this during a meeting with Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Robert  Khachatryan. The meeting took place on the occasion of the completion of the diplomatic mission of Ambassador Schermers in the RA.
